Try Howard brand Restor-A-Finish along with 0000 steel wool and follow the directions on the Howard can. Both the Howard product and 0000 steel wool can be found on Amazon

A. Thank you. I used General Finishes water-based 'Espresso' and finished with Deft brand polyacrylic.
Q. This cool wooden chair is being destroyed by the sun. Can you recommend the best way to treat it?
A. Thompson's water seal or a Marine varnish sealer. Either one will protect the wood from theelements.
